WHAT GOES IN A LUNCH

Students opened their lunch bags and categorized all the items inside their lunches into Canada's Food Groups. Each hula hoop represented a food group (fruit, vegetables, processed etc...) Students did a LOT of reflecting after all the items had been placed out.

LEARNING CPR

This was by far an amazing accomplishment from the children. They practiced CPR scenarios in small groups, then performed a CPR-training course to JK/SK children!

WINK WIZARD

Picture
This is a GREAT circle game to play with students if you have a few minutes to spare between classes.

You need...
ONE guesser
ONE Wink Wizard

Once the students have formed a circle, send the guesser out the door while you quietly select a WW. The WW needs to start an action for the circle to mimic (clapping, jumping up and down, running on one spot). Once everyone is doing this action, bring in the guesser to stand in the middle of the circle- they must figure out who the WW is with only 3 guesses. The WW will change up the action every so often, and the students will continue to mimic. Remind the students to not stare or make obvious who the WW is.

Once the WW is guessed or the guesser uses up all 3 guesses, select a new guesser to go outside and pick a new WW to start up an action.

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT

Students moved their bodies to the rhythm of slow jungle music while being mirrored by their partners, other students shadowed their partners movements.

TEETH CLEANING

Kindergarten students used egg carton, string and playdough to get messy and have fun learning all about how to keep our teeth clean and healthy!

This is our BASEBALL-PHOTO BOOTH
Picture
For our school's annual family picnic, baseball-themed, the children created a pitching practice game after finding scrap plywood and using crayons and a little imagination...
